What it is

CJC-1295 is a modified 29-amino-acid fragment of GHRH (also called sermorelin or Mod GRF 1-29). It binds to the GHRH receptor on somatotrophs in the pituitary to trigger pulsatile growth hormone release. The "without DAC" form lacks a drug affinity complex and therefore has a short half-life, requiring multiple daily injections.

What the evidence shows

Evidence is preclinical. In animal studies, CJC-1295 increases growth hormone and IGF-1 levels and can increase lean body mass in some rodent models. No published human RCT has evaluated the injectable peptide sold online for body composition, performance, or anti-aging. Claims of muscle gain, fat loss, and anti-aging in humans are extrapolated from animal data and user reports.

Risks & unknowns

Human safety data are lacking. Expected pharmacology includes elevated GH/IGF-1, which in excess can cause water retention, joint pain, insulin resistance, acromegaly-like changes, and theoretical cancer risk. Unregulated products carry additional purity and sterility risks.

Legal / regulatory status

CJC-1295 is not FDA-approved and is prohibited in sport by WADA under S2 (peptide hormones, growth factors, related substances and mimetics). It is illegal to market for human use.
